Dr Andrea Connor
Professional Bio
Dr Andrea Connor is Manager Policy and Research at the Whitlam Institute within Western Sydney. She has a PhD from the University of Technology Sydney and her research monograph was published by Routledge in 2017. She is an interdisciplinary scholar and works across the disciplines of geography, cultural studies, sociology, new economies and politics. At the Whitlam Institute she is developing research projects that draw on the Whitlam legacy to create impact, public engagement and shape policymaking in Australia. This work also aims to create new interdisciplinary conversations and advocacy initiatives around the research theme of 'Australia in the World'. The PNG Voices research project is part of the Whitlam Institute's ongoing Pacific research agenda that seeks to collaborate with Pacific Island people's to enhance Australian policymakers understanding and capacity in the region.
