Professional Bio
Eleanor is a Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Development in the Faculty of Arts at Monash University. Between 2016-2022, she was the Deputy Director of the Master in International Development Practice (MIDP) programme. She is also a member of the Monash Gender, Peace and Security (GPS) Centre. Her research and practice focus on building security and justice after conflict and inclusive approaches to peacebuilding. Eleanor has over 20 years of working in the field of international development, specialising in security, justice and human rights issues, including 10 years in post-conflict environments in the Balkans and South Asia, working in management and advisory roles with the United Nations and other international organisations.
