How do I set up my account and register?
To register, click on the 'Register Now' button, which you will find on the Home Page and on the Top Menu. It will take you to a Registration Info page. After reading, scroll down and click the 'Register Now' button. Follow the instructions below.

    2. Fill in your title, name and email and create a password
    3. You will be sent an email confirming your Account
      • The confirmation email will give you a reminder to complete your Registration. If you follow through to the end of the next step, just ignore that.
    4. Upon completion, you will be taken to the Registration Form (see next step)
  2. Register for the Conference (required)
    1. Select the correct registration type for you (see FAQs below for help deciding which type you match)
    2. Fill in the form
    3. Fill in your payment details
    4. You will be sent an email confirming your registration. Please note - Our Conference platform provider Joyn has officially rebranded as ‘Arinex’. Please check your junk email folders for registration confirmation, password reset emails and updates from arinex.one.

Registrations close on Friday 13th October .  Contact us if you’ve missed it but would still love to attend.

Do I need to register concurrent sessions in advance?
Delegates will be free to choose the concurrent sessions they would like to attend on the day – there is no need to register selections in advance. However, you may find it useful to select in advance which concurrent sessions you would like to attend live and add them to 'My Agenda' (this will be a button made available when sessions are finalised). This will help save confusion on the day as we have many sessions running at the same time both face to face and virtually.

I am completing the registration questions but keep getting an error saying "some fields are missing". What do I do?
Some of the registration questions are mandatory to complete, so please check that you have answered any marked with a red asterisk. It is highly likely that the very first question has not been answered. This is the one regarding consent. You need to select the "I consent" button. If you do not consent, but wish to attend conference, please contact us on 02 8123 2229 or conference@acfid.asn.au

DISCOUNTS

How do I know if I am an ACFID Member?
If you're unsure if your organisation is an ACFID Member, you can check the list of ACFID Members and Affiliate Members.

Is there an early-bird discount?
Yes! Make sure you register on or before 08 September 2023 to get a discount.

Is there a discount for group registrations?
No, unfortunately, this year we cannot offer group discounts.

Is there a Concession Discount for students and/or pensioners?
There is a special price for students and pensioners available. Please ensure to select the correct registrant class (Concession) in order to receive this. If you are a student, you will be asked to verify with your student ID. Please contact us for any other concession discount types on conference@acfid.asn.au.

We are an ACFID member. Can our overseas partners register and what rate will they have to pay?
Yes they can, and we have made significant discounts to the virtual ticket cost.  If you are bringing them to Australia, there is also reduced prices for in-person attendance. We'd also love it if you let us know so we can make them feel welcome or potentially arrange some networking opportunities. Contact us on conference@acfid.asn.au.

We are an overseas local non-government organisation (NGO) or overseas civil society organisation (CSO) and would love to attend your conference virtually - are there any discounts available?
We would love for you to attend and have a discount for local CSOs/NGOs to attend the conference virtually. You can select this category from the delegate type options when registering for the virtual conference.

REGISTRATION OPTIONS

Can I register on someone else's behalf?
Ideally all delegates will register themselves, as this is the easiest way to set up a registration. If you need to fully register on someone else's behalf so all they have to do on the day is log in, such as a CEO if you're the Executive Assistant, you can check the instructions for booking and registering on someone else's behalf here.

I need to register multiple people within my organisation - what is the easiest way to do this?
Group bookings are not possible through the system. Each delegate will need to register individually. Please refer to our page around "Registering on another's behalf" for further information about this.

Can registrations be shared?
No – registrations cannot be shared. You will receive your own personal login to the event platform upon registration and your own lanyard (if attending in-person). The online event platform does not allow users to watch live streams on multiple devices with the same login.

Can I register for only one day ?
The conference does offer one-day only for the in-person conference. One day only registrations are not offered for the virtual conference. We encourage participants to attend the full program, but of course you can just join when you can.

Can I register for only one session?
The conference does not offer one-session only registrations. We encourage participants to attend a full day or the full program, but of course you can just join when you can. If you would like to attend only a side event, such as the Dinner or the Interfaith Breakfast - please get in touch with us on conference@acfid.asn.au.

Do I have to pay the conference registration fee when I register or can you issue an invoice?
We ask for payment at the point of registration – but please email conference@acfid.asn.au or call us on 02 8123 2229 if you have problems with this!

ACCESSIBILITY

How do I communicate accessibility needs to the ACFID Conference organisers?
When you register for the conference, there will be a registration question that asks you for any accessibility requirements (for e.g. wheelchair access, sign language etc..).
The Roundhouse is fully accessible and has lift access to the first floor where the concurrent sessions will be held. However, feel free to contact us before registering or at any time to discuss any requirements on conference@acfid.asn.au.

Is Closed Captioning or sign language interpreters available?
The success of the ACFID National Conference rests upon it being inclusive and accessible. We will ensure to make the event is as accessible as possible. This is what we can provide depending on the needs of our delegates:
  • Live captioning for plenary sessions. Please email conference@acfid.asn.au to let us know if you need this (or indicate this when you fill in the Registration Form). Please do so by 27 September so we can organise it for a day/session.
  • Closed captioning (software generated) as requested for concurrent sessions. Please email conference@acfid.asn.au to let us know if you need this (or make it clear when you fill in the Registration Form). Please do so by 27 September so we can organise it for that session.
  • Sign language for specific sessions. Please email conference@acfid.asn.au to let us know if you need this (or indicate this in the Registration Form)
  • The platform has been tested for a number of screen reader programs. Please test it with your program and let us know if you have any questions/issues.
We would appreciate if you could make any request as early as possible so we can make bookings. After 27th September 2023, the best efforts will be made to accommodate requests, but we cannot guarantee that interpreters or captioners will be available.

SPEAKERS, SPONSORS AND SPECIAL GUESTS

I am a speaker/sponsor/etc. and was told to register, but I can't work out how without paying the full price?
You can select the Delegate Type that matches you (Member/Non-member, etc.) and the number of days you will be at conference and then go through the rest of the steps. When you come to payment, you will have the option to enter a Discount Code. For example:
- If you wish to attend both days, but are required to pay for one of those days, select "In-person 2 days" and enter your discount code at the end to receive one day free.
- If you are only able to attend the day you are speaking, select "In-person 1 day", then the day you will attend and enter your discount code at the end to receive it for free.
You are also welcome to add on any social functions to your order.
The conference organisers will provide you with your specific Discount Code. If you have lost the Discount Code or still have questions, email conference@acfid.asn.au or call us on 02 8123 2229.
